馃憠 馃帴 See video of the ceremonial signing: https://lnkd.in/eQyd_gQ On 31 July this year, the ceremonial signing of the project contract between Energetyka Cieplna and the Elemont - Eneria consortium took place.
The subject of the contract is the expansion of EC Sp. z o.o. in Skierniewice with a high-efficiency cogeneration unit based on gas engines.
The new plant will produce a total of 8MW of thermal and electrical power and will operate at base load virtually all year round. The heat demand in the winter season from the district heating network is significantly higher than the thermal nominal output of the engines, which means that the existing coal-fired water boilers at the District Heating Plant will remain as supplementary and peak load units. The heat demand in summer will be covered entirely by gas engines.
The project will have a positive environmental effect, as the new cogeneration unit will enable EC Skierniewice to reduce its annual coal consumption by 30%, while energy production will be free of dust pollution and significantly reduce acid compound emissions.
The contractor for this project will be a consortium Elemont - Eneria.聽
Elemont Sp. z o.o. is an engineering and construction company which has been implementing complex projects in the power industry, industry and environmental protection for over 30 years.聽During this time, the Company has participated in the construction of more than 7,500 MW of newly generated capacity, both in conventional power generation, co-generation sources and renewable energy sources.
Eneria Sp z o.o., as an exclusive distributor of CATERPILLAR, will provide the supply of gas engines each with a capacity of approximately 2000kW, giving a total output of approximately 8 MWe and 8MWt. With its extensive service team, Eneria will ensure high availability of the plant during its operation.聽
The commissioning of the new plant is planned for November 2022.聽
